To help our patients relax, Dr. Mortensen offers oral conscious sedation at our Fountain Valley practice. Administered in pill form, this type of sedation helps the patient enter a complete state of relaxation, allowing them to be virtually unaware of dental treatment. Dr. Mortensen uses oral sedation over other forms of sedation dentistry, such as IV (intravenous) sedation and nitrous oxide, for a few reasons:
